For those who haven't tried to register an out of state vehicle at the DMV lately, landscape has changed, dramatically as of Oct 31st 016...The ane form that inverse significantly is Reg 31 or Vin verification grade. They added to section 6 and section 8. For motorcycles of OHV nature (that are of 1978 or newer manufacturer) they desire to see Federal emissions characterization....Don't have it ? No problem, y'all are going to the CHP with your supporting documentation (right?) to show it meets these requirements...This new Reg 31 is a crazy ass slice that is causing many headaches amidst us collector types (both cycles and cars)...Oh yeah, some of this tin be bypassed if you take a secondary VIN on the vehicle...
OP I wouldn't go to another DMV and hope they will miss this...Get your ducks in a row, similar find a emissions sticker online...And if you do manage to submit your paperwork at the local DMV you are not out of the woods. DMV has a whole new crew of hot shot auditors that will pick information technology up in Sacto....I wish you luck, but Ca has just become a very fucked upward place to endeavour to bring any vehicle from out of state without all the correct labels....

I was told past a DMV investigator that they are actively looking for greenish sticker to mc plate conversion

If I buy a brand new 2021 ktm ohv dirtbike in Oregon I believe I have to pay sales tax at the dealer? I know Oregon doesnt accept sales tax only it is based on where I live

What about when I register it at the dmv? It is just registration so no revenue enhancement like ownership transfer.

I'm thinking of driving to Oregon to buy a ktm 150tpi every bit I cant observe any hither

Yep I call back that is Vallejo? Them and Modesto said they had one in stock co-ordinate to their online inventory merely a couple days ago only at present they announced to be gone. Still have some searching and calling to do.

I see a te150i downwards in San Diego simply Tiffany is not thrilled on the husky. I told her she can run orangish plastics lol.

Guy down the street has one, I but went and looked at it today. I asked if it was for sale but he said his girl would disown him. I asked her if information technology was for auction when she came out simply no dice. They did say I can test ride it though.

I'm thinking of waiting for a used one to pop upward while Tiffany enjoys the bikes she owns lol

If you go that TE150i, she can ride it for month or so while you work on a KTM. Then I'll gladly take it off your easily...
I won't have the funds for one until April, and I fright they will all be gone by then.

I love the '02 YZ144, but demand more than than one equus caballus in the stable.
